Crab dip is one of those side dishes that gets me excited. It’s not one of those sides that’s on everybody’s party platter thats for sure. Growing up my brother fathered a crab dip that was simple, but amazing. This is not that crab dip. That one he can share if he wants! This one is full of cheesy, crabby, goodness that will stick to your ribs. My in home food critic even scored two it thumbs up! They don’t like to talk with a mouth full, that’s rude.
I so simple with serving this, just some Ritz crackers and a spoon. Very high fashion and elegant that’s for sure. I used the imitation crab in this dip just due to overall cost. Seafood in a landlocked state is a little pricey. For me this dish is easy and feels classy as well. This hot crab dip is perfect for game day. Especially for us covered in snow and whipped by the winds!
2 8oz Imitation Crab chunks chopped up.
1 8oz Cream Cheese
1 Cup mozzarella
⅓ Cup Mozzarella for sprinkling
¼ Grated Parmesan
1 Clove of Garlic
½ Cup mayo
¼ Cup Sour Cream
1 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp Lime Juice
Preheat oven to 350
Use a hand mixer to beat mayo, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, until fluffy.
Incorporate remaining ingredients outside of the ⅓ cup of mozzarella.
Pour into a 8×8 pan, or pie plate, top with remaining cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes or until it becomes bubbly.
